The Anna Regina Secondary School (ARSS) Headmaster and Staff, in collaboration with the ARSS Alumni Association, proudly present the 50th Anniversary Yearbook, the first yearbook in the school’s history and a major milestone of its Golden Jubilee.
The yearbook idea was conceived in early 2025 by Samuel Farouk Barakat, Alumni Class of 1975 and former teacher of the school, who envisioned a lasting record of ARSS’s people, history, and achievements. In July 2025, the proposal was formally presented to Headmaster Sir Lalljeet Ruplall and staff, who gave their full support, allowing the project to move forward as a joint alumni-school initiative.

A dedicated team worked from mid-2025 to meet the Graduation Day deadline of 28th November, 2025. The Yearbook Team included Sir Lalljeet Ruplall (Team Leader), Miss Binawattie Dasrat (Lead Staff Editor), Miss Nikita James (Editor – Clubs & Activities), and Sir Reuben Khayum (Photographer). The ARSS Alumni Association produced and published the yearbook, with Wazeefa Barakat (Alumni Class of 2014) leading the design and editing, alongside Samuel Barakat as Lead Alumni Delegate.

The yearbook was officially launched at the Graduation Ceremony on 28th November, 2025, where copies were presented to all 218 graduating students and 82 teachers of the anniversary year. On 13th February, 2026, the promise that every student would receive a printed copy was fulfilled during the school-wide distribution.

The total cost of the project was GY$2,616,300 (USD$12,000), covering printing, while design, editing, photography, and distribution were contributed free of cost by alumni, the Headmaster, and staff. The ARSS Alumni Association, now with 1,000+ registered alumni, continues to invite support for this historic initiative. Contributions in multiples of 10–50 books at GY$2,000 / USD$10 per book are welcomed. Contributors are honored on a plaque at the school and in the digital yearbook, with any surplus donated to ARSS.
